Have you received the NEWLY UPDATED announcement from LHDN? 🤔

As of 05 June 2025, LHDN revised the e-Invoice implementation from 4 phases to 5 phases.

Businesses with annual revenue less than RM 500k is exempted from e-Invoice implementation. Additionally, businesses with annual revenue of more than  RM1 million and up to RM5 million have their implementation timeline postponed to 01 January 2026.

Moreover, the 6-month relaxation  period provided earlier also apply to the phases stated above. During this period, taxpayers are allowed to issue a consolidated e-Invoice for all transactions as follows:

☑️Allowing all activities / industries to issue a consolidated e-Invoice including self-billed e-Invoice

☑️Allowing any information to be entered in the “Product or Service Description” field

☑️If there is a request for e-Invoice from the buyer, the seller is also allowed to only issue a consolidated e-Invoice without issuing an e-Invoice for each transaction

💡Tips: Although you are exempted (or extended from implementation) for the time being, but don't forget, e-Invoice will eventually be fully implemented, preparing in advance is the key to avoid last-minute kelam-kabut‼
