Is telco plan subscription eligible for lifestyle relief?

If the telco plan subscription only includes mobile data service, then yes, it is eligible for lifestyle relief. However, if it includes mobile data service and talk time, then it is not eligible for lifestyle relief because if the plan comes with talk time, it is not purely an internet subscription anymore.

Gary purchases a mobile phone under an instalment plan, can he claim the mobile phone under lifestyle relief?

As long as Gary has an invoice for the purchase of the mobile phone stating the price accordingly, he can claim the mobile phone under lifestyle relief.
