If Kenny has a certification from doctor stating that he needs these medicines and supplements to treat his serious illness, these purchases would be eligible for the tax relief for medical expenses for serious disease.
Q:
If I have signed up for 1-year yoga class in Year 2021, am I eligible for the additional lifestyle relief for sports related activities?
A:
Yoga class is not eligible for any tax relief. From Year of Assessment 2021 onwards, you can get an additional lifestyle relief of up to RM500 for the purchase of sports equipment, rental or entrance fees to any sports facilities and registration fees for sports competitions.
