It’s that time of the year again – submitting Form E and EA. Are you ready?
In Malaysia, it is mandatory for all employers to submit Form E to the LHDN (Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia) to report details such as the number of employees, the list of employee’s income, etc. Supposed Form E is not submitted within the prescribed time limit, you may be imposed a fine of between RM200 and RM20,000, or imprisonment for a
term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
Form E submission deadline:
- Deadline submission via postal delivery is before 31st March 2022
- Deadline submission via e-filling is before 30th April 2022
However, there are many entrepreneurs who just started their businesses have no idea what Form E and Form EA are, let alone submitting them accurately!
- If I just started my business but have yet hired any employees, do I need to prepare Form E and Form EA?
- Do I still need to file Form E if my company has only directors and no employees?
- Which type of companies need to submit Form E?
- What income should be included in Form EA?
